Hamzet Wasel worked with Endeavor Jordan, as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), to plan and implement an “eco-preneurship hunt” in Jabal Al-Qala’a. The project started with recycling workshops where thirty children from the community learnt how to make products out of waste they collected from their neighborhood. They then engaged in a hunt where six teams of boys and girls followed a number of clues around their neighborhood, in order to become familiar with the entrepreneurial nature of their community and the nearby downtown area. The hunt introduced them to key people in the community who had contributed to its development, both past and present, as well as the opportunities and challenges of starting and maintaining a business. Community “stars” included the mukhtar  of Jabal Al Qala’a, the neighborhood’s oldest resident, and  the only woman falafel shop owner in Amman. At the end of the hunt, the children worked on making products out of the recycled materials they had collected previously. They then displayed these products at the GEW launch event, where visitors voted for the most successful designs and functional products.

قامت همزة وصل بالعمل مع  إندفر – الأردن وكجزء من أسبوع الريادة العالمي بتخطيط وتنظيم “السباق الريادي البيئي” في جبل القلعة. إبتدأ المشروع بعقد ورشات عمل تتمحور حول موضوع إعادة التدوير حيث قام 30 طفلا من المجتمع بتعلم كيفية صنع منتوجات بإستخدام مواد من النفايات التي جمعوها من منطقتهم. من ثم تم توزيعهم على ستة فرق متنوعة وقاموا بحل عدد من الألغاز التي قادتهم الى أماكن مختلفة في الجبل ليتعرفوا أكثر على بعض الأفكار الريادية الموجودة في مجتمعهم.

وقد تعرفوا من خلال السباق على عدة أشخاص مؤثرين في المجتمع وساهموا في تطوره وتقدمه على مدى الأعوام السابقة وحتى وقتنا هذا. تعرفوا على مختار جبل القلعة وهو أقدم سكان الجبل وتعرفوا أيضا على مالكة محل فلافل تعد الريادية الأولى في هذا المجال من النساء. وعند إنتهاء النهار قام المشاركون بصنع منتوجات من المواد التي جمعوها خلال النهار وعرضوها خلال حفل الإفتتاح لأسبوع الريادة العالمي حيث صوّت المشاركون على أكثر المنتوجات نجاحا بالتصميم والفعالية.
