After receiving  a grant  from the  Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Dozan wa Awtar, an organization dedicated to promoting Arabic chorale music, decided to partner with Hamzet Wasel to explore the gender issues facing Jordan today. The grant is being applied towards 2-day workshops in three different communities in Jordan; Amman, Ghorr, and Irbid. The first day of each workshop will be dedicated to collecting information from participants regarding feelings and personal experiences with gender issues. The second day will then be focused around converting those sentiments and stories into drama. Hamzet Wasel is assisting Dozan wa Atwar in locating sufficient venues for the workshops and rallying participants from these different communities to come and share their thoughts and experiences. The goal of the project is to accentuate the many gender issues that face different communities throughout Jordan today, and effectively portray those issues in a drama production that will tour Jordan and raise more widespread awareness about the difficulties of these issues.

بعد حصولهم على منحة من الوكالة الكندية للإنماء قامت مؤسسة دوزان وأوتار للموسيقى بالتعاون مع همزة وصل على مشروعهم المتعلق بإستكشاف عدم المساواة بين الجنسين من خلال المسرح. المشروع يتضمن إقامة ورشات في مناطق عمان، إربد و غور المزرعة للتحدث والتفاعل مع عينات متنوعة من أهالي المناطق على مدى يومين للورشة الواحدة. اليوم الأول من كل ورشة مخصص لجمع القصص المختلفة عن تجارب المشاركين الشخصية المتعلقة بقصص الجندر، اليوم الثاني يتمحور حول مناقشة القصص وتحويلها الى قصص درامية وتمثيلها.

دور همزة وصل يتمحور حول مساعدة دوزان وأوتار على إيجاد مشاركين في الورشات وأماكن للقيام بهذه الورشات في المدن والمناطق المختلفة. ويهدف المشروع الى زيادة الوعي المجتمعي في الأردن الى القضايا الناشئة من عدم المساواة بين الجنسين في المجتمع من خلال قصص واقعية تمت صياغتها بطريقة درامية وتحويلها الى عمل مسرحي سيجوب الأردن.
